After downloading a file, especially a large one, how can you be sure that the whole file was downloaded, and there were no errors in transmission?  You need to compute the file's hash (i.e. checksum) and compare it with the reference hash listed on the download site.

The Hash Express app, developed by eCodified, allows you to do that: compute the hash of a file (or text passage), and easily compare it with a copy-pasted reference hash.  Currently supported hashing algorithms: MD5, SHA1, SHA256, SHA384, and SHA512.
